01
Persona Research
I started my app design journey by conducting persona research. These are fake personas that would be the main users of the app and therefore the main target audience. This way, the research of their lifestyles and needs can direct my design choices.

02
Inspiration
For my main source of inspiration, I looked at UI/UX designs on Pinterest. I also conducted real-life research via analysis of app designs already downloaded onto my phone.

03
User Flow Diagram
Next, I began planning out what my user flow would be based on the needs and goals of my users.

04
Low Fidelity Wireframes
After establishing my user flow, I began designing my low-fidelity wireframes. Here is where my rough draft of the final application began. I started to consider colors, fonts, and design.

05
High Fidelity Wireframes
I fleshed out the overall look and feel I was going for, considering the persona research I had conducted at the beginning. I felt my users would appreciate a gender neutral but approachable design, which I accomplished by using soft color gradients and gentle button designs.

06
Thematic Considerations
Thematic considerations in UI design refer to the overarching visual and conceptual elements that shape the look, feel, and emotional impact of a user interface.

07
User Testing on Prototype
I conducted user testing by recording user testers with my own device. I used the over-the-shoulder technique to reveal what my user is experiencing with the interface. After, I utilized the feedback to adjust flow and improve user experience.
